*TODAY~The BIHS Art Showcase is this week!!!* There will be free food,
free admission and hundreds of amazing artworks. This year, walking
artworks and live performances will happen ONLY the night of the
reception-so make sure to come! *Thursday April 18th from 5-8:30pm in the
Community Theater galleries!* RSVP:

*Advanced Placement Exams:*
All students registered for this year's AP exams must attend one of two
meetings next week Tuesday (April 23) or Wednesday (April 24) after school
in the Community Theater. You will fill in information needed only on the
first answer sheet you will use this year. Bring two or more number 2
pencils (no mechanical pencils, please) and a book or binder to serve as a
writing surface. The meetings may run to 5 p.m. All need to stay until
dismissed.

If you are high spirited, have lots of energy or love pumping up others? If
you are a cheerleader, dancer, a gymnast or have any tumbling skills? If
you just want to be apart of an upbeat enthusiastic team,then we want to
see you at *Berkeley High Cheerleading Tryouts!*
We are looking forward to an exciting 2019-20 school year with our cheer
program and we want you to be a part!
*Tryouts will be held on Monday, April 22nd - Friday April 26th in the
M-Gym at BHS from 4:30-7pm.*
Things you will need:
- T-shirt
- shorts/yoga pant
- Tennis or cheer shoes (not street shoes)
- hair up
- no nails
- Water
- Great Attitude with a willingness to learn
In order to participate, you must register on FamilyId located on the BHS
Athletic website <https://bhs.berkeleyschools.net/athletics/>, complete the
registration and upload a recent (signed) physical exam by April 19th.
All student-athletes must be approved by the Athletic Director in order to
try out for a team. Only student-athletes who have completed their online
registration, including valid physical will be approved.

Hey Berkeley High, did you know that *next Monday is Earth Day*? Celebrate
and do your part to save the planet by taking part in the Zero Waste
Challenge! Try to go next week from Monday to Friday without creating any
waste that goes in the landfill. Composting and recycling only, no plastic!
We want to hear about your experiences trying out a zero waste lifestyle,

Have you ever been interested in the history or current climate of the
Disabled Rights Movement? Are you interested in activism or human and civil
rights work in general? Are you already involved with or a part of the
neurodivergent community? Do you want to learn more about it? Even if none
of those questions were an immediate "yes" for you, all students are
welcome to drop in on the *Neurodivergent Student Union*! The next meeting
will be on *Wednesday, April 24th, from 3:30 to 4:30 in room G203*. We hope
to see you there! For more information, contact Ms. Bell in the front
office.
