YOUNG BLACK WOMEN SCHOLARS PROGRAM 2018 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Oakland/Bay Area Chapter (OBAC) Young Black Women Scholars Program offers scholarships to women students in Bay Area schools who are bound for a four-year university, JC/community college or trade school.


To qualify for a scholarship, a student must be a senior enrolled in a Bay Area school for a minimum of the last two years of high school or admitted and are currently enrolled in a trade school, junior college or a university.


High school students must have earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 during grades 10 through 12; and demonstrate promise of continued academic achievement. Students must have earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 during their school tenure. All candidates must also document a need for scholarship assistance.
