[BHS Etree] SPORTS: Celebrating Some Great Winter Sports!

With just a few weeks left in the regular Winter Sports season, Coaches
wanted to share some exceptional moments and an update:

 

Soccer, Girls - The Yellowjackets are undefeated in the last 10 games and on
Monday beat Bishop O'Dowd 3-2 with crowded stands and loud spectators (both
sides) despite the school holiday. Forward Franny Cerny leads the league in
goals! The team will host Mt. Eden this Friday at 6:00 (JV at 4:00) at the
Jacket Stadium. Next Bishop O'Dowd game will be at O'Dowd on February 6,
7:00 p.m. (JV 5:15) 

 

Soccer, Boys - Next home game Wednesday January 28 vs. San Leandro JV 11:00,
Varsity 1:00 in the Jacket Stadium

 

Wrestling - The wrestling program has both participated in and hosted meets.
With new Wrestlers and a new Coach the Jackets wrestling program is
establishing itself in the league. Next opportunity to watch wrestling is at
Albany High on January 28th.

 

Basketball, Girls - Berkeley Lady Jackets handed Brookside their 2nd loss
for the season. Sophomore Xinavane Foreman tied the school record by
grabbing 24 rebounds on Sat Jan. 17 against Brookside Christian. Jaiamoni
Welch-Coleman scored 31 pts against the 4th national ranked St. Ignatius
High School on Jan 3. Jaiamoni will be attending Weber State next year on a
basketball scholarship.

Next opportunity to watch this powerhouse team at home is Wednesday January
30th against Piedmont in the Donahue Gym JV 5:30, Varsity 7:00

 

Basketball, Boys - Next home game is Wednesday January 28 vs. Piedmont JV
5:30, Varsity 7:00 in the Donahue Gym.
