This coming Wednesday, October 8, I will be taking sophomores to the noon
concert at Hertz Hall.

 

This concert features the UC-Berkeley Gospel Choir.  They are an exciting
and talented group.  We will leave BHS shortly after 10:30, walk to the
campus, eat, watch the concert, and return in time for students to attend
their Period 5 classes (around 1:30)

 

Many of the major works we will read this year feature music.  Lord of the
Flies, which we will begin later this month, features religious music whose
songs symbolize the unity, values, and community which produce the boys
eventually trapped on an island.

 

Students (and chaperones) need to bring lunches and wear comfortable walking
shoes.

 

If you are free, please let me know,...I need as many chaperones as
possible.
