Dear Parent or Guardian,

The California Department of Education requires schools and districts to
survey all ninth and eleventh grade students about alcohol, tobacco, and
other drug issues, as well as questions about school safety, the learning
environment, and student health every other year. The California Healthy
Kids Survey will be given to all ninth and eleventh graders at Berkeley High
School between January 11th and January 13th. The results from the survey
will help provide BUSD with information to improve school safety, student
health, and the learning environment. Information from the California
Healthy Kids Survey has recently helped BUSD obtain funds for alcohol,
tobacco, and drug prevention education. 

 

The survey is anonymous. No names or any other identifying information is
connected to the answers except for the name of the school. 

 

If you wish to view the survey, you may do so in the front office or on-line
at http://berkeleyschools.net.
