CHANGES TO SCHEDULING OF MENTAL HEALTH APPOINTMENTS
AT BHS HEALTH CENTER

BRIEF COUNSELING OFFERED
Due to the current staff's limited capacity to see the number of
students who have been referred to the Health Center for Mental Health
Services, the Health Center will no longer be able to accept referrals
for long term counseling after Friday, April 25th.  

Starting Monday, April 28th, students will only be seen for Mental
Health Services at the Health Center on a short term or crisis basis. 

If you need to refer a student to the Health Center for Mental Health
Services 
AFTER APRIL 28th: 

1)	Please accompany any student being referred to the Health
Center, and speak with a mental health clinician regarding your
concerns. 
 
2)	Students will meet with a counselor for up to two visits to
assess their needs and, when appropriate, they will be referred out to
community resources for further care.  

3)	To ensure that all students who don't have insurance or access
to community based care can get attention, please contact a
parent/guardian to access outside services if appropriate.

All clients that are already enrolled in the Mental Health program at
the Health Center will be able to schedule appointments until Friday,
May 30th.


SUMMER MENTAL HEALTH REFERRALS
The Health Center will be open during the summer for brief counseling
sessions.  Students may call the front desk at 644-6965 to schedule an
appointment with Mental Health staff.
