Calling all Berkeley High parents and friends:  if you believe in the
importance and joy of good writing, and love to see students succeed,
you'd be a great writing coach!

WriterCoach Connection (WCC) returns to Berkeley High to give students
one-on-one feedback on their classroom writing assignments. With
individualized support throughout the year, WCC volunteers encourage
students to become more confident and competent writers and thinkers.

You don't have to be a writer or teacher to volunteer. WCC provides
the hands-on training and mentoring you'll need to be a terrific
coach. We will be coaching 9th and 10th graders during 1st and 2nd
periods on Fridays, approximately twice a month, beginning in mid
October.

Berkeley training schedule:

Training #6: Tues. 9/11 & 9/18, 12:00-3:00 pm
Training #7: Wed. 9/19 & 9/26, 12:00-3:00 pm
Training #8: Wed. 9/26 & 10/3, 6:30-9:30 pm
Training #9: Thurs. 10/11 & 10/18, 12:00-3:00 pm
(earlier training dates available in Albany)
