BUSD Teachers Fight Life Threatening Disease With Their Music

BUSD Music Teachers Karen Wells and Madeline Prager, as two thirds of
The Temescal Trio use their music to support kids with Marfan
Syndrome in a concert December 3rd.
In their note below they invite you to come and help support this
cause.
This is also a great opportunity
to come out and see the level of talent consistent in our music
teachers, so bring your young musicians.

Mark Coplan, BUSD Public Information Officer

P.S. These great teachers are another reason that Measure A was such
a good idea.

This from Karen and Madeline:
Dear Friends,

It is our pleasure to invite you to a benefit concert sponsored by
the Northern California Chapter of the National Marfan Foundation
(see below).
The Temescal Trio will perform chamber music to raise money for
Marfan kids and teens.

Marfan syndrome is a potentially life-threatening disease. Marfan
syndrome affects the heart, blood vessels, bones, eyes, lungs and
joints, and can lead to sudden death. BUSD teachers Karen Wells and
Madeline Prager (of the Temescal Trio) are collaborating to raise
money for Marfan kids and teens, since Madeline has experienced the
effects of this disease in her own family. All proceeds from the
benefit concert are to be donated to children affected by this
disorder.

We would love to see you there. You can print the reservation off the
flyer from the long link below. Come and enjoy the music and the
desserts, and support kids and teens to survive and thrive in the
face of Marfan syndrome!

We look forward to your joining us!

Sincerely,

Karen Wells
Madeline Prager
