Dear Families of Berkeley High School Students:
The STAR test will be given to all 9th through 11th grade students
for 4 days next week beginning on Tuesday, April 25 through Friday,
April 28. Please strongly encourage your child to take the test and
to give her/his best effort. It is important that we have full
participation and that students meet the Yearly Adequate Performance
Goals. Failure to meet or exceed these conditions results in a school
being labeled as an underperforming school which initiates a number
of significant sanctions that adversely impacts all students.
Please see the attached STAR schedule. Seniors do not have to attend
school until regular classes meet after lunch each day (beginning
Tuesday). Monday is a regular day. 9th through 11th grade students
who do not take a science course or who take Integrated Science or
Advanced Integrated Science, begin class at 12:01 pm on Thursday. 9th
grade students who do not take either World or U.S. History, begin
class at 12:01 pm on Friday.
Thank You,
Matt Huxley
Vice Principal BHS
Berkeley High School
