Administration

1. As you are aware, there have been many budget cuts in our school district
lately even though a bill just passed the House of Representatives to give
$25 billion more to the brutal occupation of Iraq. Just imagine what this
money could do.

For one thing, it would be able to save the funding of the Vera Casey
Parent-Child Center that provides childcare for teen mothers here at
Berkeley High. June 11 is the Center¹s last funded day. Please write or
email the Board or whomever you can think of to help keep this wonderful
center open. Thank you. Questions? Contact Jane Stillwater at
ipstillh20 at yahoo.com

2. Friday, May 28: Last day to turn in the Senior Exit report to the
College/Career Center if you would like to have your future plans printed in
the senior edition of the Jacket.

3. Friday, May 28: Last day to turn in a Transcript Request Form to Ms.
Mellion in D173 so that we can send an official transcript to the school you
will be attending in the fall. Write in capital letters across the top
"FINAL TRANSCRIPT" and paperclip it to a stamped business size envelope
addressed to the college. Use Berkeley High School as the return address.
If you are under 18, please remember to have a parent/guardian sign the
request form.
