SAT WORD OF THE DAY: MISNOMER - a wrongly applied name. "Koala bear"
is a common misnomer; the animal it refers to is actually a marsupial, not a
member of the bear family.
PRESENTATIONS
Thursday, May 27, 12:15 (fourth period) - Mario Rivas, Vice President of
Vista College, College/Career Center. Please sign up prior to the
presentation in D221.
GREAT SEARCH TOOL
To find information on a college, go to www.google.com. Then click the
"more" link.
Click on "University Search."
You will see an alphabetical list and grouping of institutions.
When you click on one of them, a screen appears with a space to type in your
search term. For example, if you want to know what the tuition is at the
school, type in the word "tuition" and a list of sites at the school with
that information will come up. This is very handy to locate hard to find
information.
SENIORS - Important Dates
Friday, May 28 - Last day to turn in the Exit Report if you want your future
plans printed in the senior edition of the Jacket.

"FINAL TRANSCRIPT" and paperclip it to a stamped business size envelope
addressed to the college. Use Berkeley High School (2223 ML King Jr. Way,

remember to have a parent/guardian sign the request form.
Thursday, June 3 - Last day to turn in the Senior Exit Report to D221 (if
