Hello BUSD families and community members,


My name is Ella Creane, and I’m the editor-in-chief of the Berkeley High
Jacket. Today, I am writing to you for help.


The Jacket is BHS’ entirely student-run newspaper; writers, photographers,
illustrators, editors, and beyond are solely made up of BHS students,
making the Jacket a very special center for student growth and community
connections. We work hard to serve BHS and Berkeley, giving voice to our
diverse school, city, and the broader community.


In order to support this mission of uncensored, student-led journalism, we
remain financially and editorially independent from BUSD. However, due to
increased printing costs, we need your help to continue printing this year.
Whether big or small, please consider donating to the Jacket
