Dear Berkeley High Community,

Have you heard about the impressive accomplishments

of BHS student athletes this year? And did you know that every year the
Berkeley Athletic Fund raises money to pay for equipment, coaches’
stipends, facilities and other expenses? These critical investments are a
main reason why Berkeley High is able to accommodate over 1,200 student
athletes in 30 sports, and compete at a high level against better funded
teams.  We are asking every current BHS family to consider a gift, not just
those whose kids are currently active on a team. Interscholastic Athletics
are a crucial part of the high school experience and an important part of
building a unified school-wide spirit.

This year the Berkeley Athletic Fund is introducing the Coaches Fund

to underscore this priority and partnership with the Athletic Department.

this year is $50,000 to keep BHS competitive by attracting the best
coaching talent and compensating them for the incredible impact they have
on our student athletes.
