[BHS Etree] JAZZ/ORCHESTRA: Orientation is Aug. 12 (Fri)

Annual BHS Jazz/Band & Orchestra Orientation is Friday, August 12th from 12:30
and 2:30 p.m., at Portable 1 (between the M gym and Jacket Stadium -- enter
through the athletic entrance at Milvia and Durant).



Orientation offers music students a chance to take care of a few things
before classes begin:

     *  tour of the music department/meet your teacher for incoming students

     *  return those middle school instruments and checkout your new BHS
instrument ($20, CASH ONLY)

     *  fill out field trip permission slips for the year
(parents/guardians must sign, too!)

     *  for returning students, earn some Service Credits (contact your
teacher for details)



If students will be in BOTH BHS Jazz AND the Band & Orchestra this coming
school year, good news -- our orientations are at the same time, so come on
down and get ready for both classes. If you are out of town on the 12th,
that's OK -- you can still check out your instrument, etc., once classes
begin. If you ARE in town, please come by -- you do not have to stay the
entire 2 hours, just stay until you have taken care of everything on the to
do list.
