Hi Yellowjacket families -

We're getting down to the wire for fall sports - the first official
tryout/practice of the year is Monday, the 8th:

Athletes (including returning) must be REGISTERED and CLEARED

to participate - No exceptions!

(This includes uploading a new physical). To register and learn all about

1) Where and when are tryouts/first practice?

2) What happens if I'm not cleared by the first day?

You cannot practice/participate

Many teams have competitive tryouts and this can impact your chances of
making the team

3) I registered before I had my physical ready. I now have it. How do I
upload it?

To upload your physical, take a picture or scan of it and then,

1) Go to https://www.homecampus.com/login

2) Log in using the email and password you set

3) This will take you to the "My Student/Athlete Clearances" page.

4) Hit the blue SEARCH button and you should see your existing registration

5) Click on the "Files" Icon

6) Upload your physical here and then hit "save and continue"

4) My insurance/healthcare provider can't see me until August 15th; can I
participate until then?

Unfortunately, the answer is no

5) I registered and uploaded a new physical and it still says 'pending.' I
received a message confirming that I registered but I've yet to be cleared?

We're still working through them. There are hundreds of you and two of us!
We'll continue to clear right up to the first practices on Monday! Coaches
will have an app to check real time clearance statuses as you show up to
practice/tryouts.

6) Can I register for winter and spring sports right now?

Yes please do so! We can't clear you for these sports until after grade
checks (Q1 for winter sports and S1 for spring sports) but you might as
well get it done now.

This is why we want student-athletes to get summer physicals. This way
their physical is good all 3 seasons so if you decide later that you want
to play a sport, you know you're physical is good!

7) How can I support BHS Athletics?

Amazing question! There are several ways:

1) Volunteer for team jobs - coaches

preseason meetings and be soliciting help for tasks ranging from team
parent, driver, snack coordinator, uniform coordinator, scoreboard
operator, etc.

2) Donate to the Berkeley Athletic Fund
<http://www.berkeleyathleticfund.net/>! You will have an opportunity to
donate during the registration process. BAF is our booster club and helps
support coaching stipends and funds capital projects, team travel, uniforms
and equipment.

3) Come to a BAF meeting. BAF meets once a month. CONTACT BAF

4) Become a BAF Booster Club member!

5) Be exemplary student-athlete parents/guardians/fans
