Since 1985, Berkeley Athletic Fund’s (BAF) mission has been to promote athletic and academic excellence and enhance safety and competitiveness of Berkeley High School sports programs
With generous donations from BHS parents, families, friends, alumni, and the surrounding community, BAF has been able to provide financial assistance to support the nearly 1200 BHS student athletes, 54 teams and 70 coaches in 32 sports.

In 2019 and 2020, BAF worked with the Berkley Unified School District and Berkeley School Excellence Program to increase BHS Coaches Stipends significantly. In addition, BAF has committed to contribute $50,000 annually toward these stipends in order retain and attract excellent coaches. 


Each year BAF has funded $25,000 in Grants to support BHS Athletic Teams, Coaches and Facilities. BAF Grants have funded Team Travel for Tournaments, Uniforms, the Athletic Trainer and Training Room Supplies, Scoreboards, Football Sled, Batting Cages, The Jacket Tunnel, Breakout Banner and Jacket Mascot Costume, the HUDL Subscription and so many more items important to BHS Sports Teams.

Even in this Pandemic, BHS Coaches have been working hard to keep student athletes, safe, connected, motivated and in condition.  They deserve our  support!
