Starting on Tuesday 9/22, the Berkeley High School Supply Center will be up
and running for the rest of Semester 1.

What is the BHS Supply Center?

The BHS Supply Center in our Berkeley High system for ongoing school
supplies/materials distribution and collection. While most materials have
been distributed at this point, the BHS Supply Center is a space for
students to pick up books they still need, collect materials may distribue
later in the semester, return textbooks from last year, etc.

When?

   -

Term Opening Distribution: First Tuesday and Thursday from 1:30PM-3:30PM
   of Terms 3 (10/13 and 10/15) and 4 (11/17 and 11/19).
   -

Ongoing Supply Center Distribution: Every Tuesday from 1:30PM-3:30PM.
   -

Library Book Checkout and Returns: Every Tuesday and Wednesday from
   1:30-3:30PM.

If any of the dates need to be cancelled due to inclement weather, we will
NOT be providing make-up dates; instead, we ask students and families to
come to the next available Supply Center Date.

Where?

All supply/book pick-ups and drop-off will take place at the school
entrance at the intersection of Milvia St and Kittredge St.

How Does the BHS Supply Center Work?

   1.

Determine if you need to come: Teacher will inform students if there are
materials to be collected from the BHS Supply Center OR students will
determine they need a library book or still need a textbook. If your
teachers do not tell you to come and pick up something, you do not need to
   attend.
   2.

Drive up the school entrance at the intersection of Milvia St. and
   Kittredge St:
   -

Please have your student’s first and last name, and student ID#,
written legibly on paper to hold up and show through your car windshield
. If you are also looking for anything from your Term 1 classes, add
the name of the material and the teacher & class. For example: “First
+ Last Name, ID# Number, Mx. Jone’s sketchbook, 3rd Period”. Our
volunteers will need to be able to see the first and last name clearly to
get your textbooks at a safe 6ft distance; PLEASE DO NOT ROLL
YOUR WINDOWS
      DOWN.
      -

Materials will be placed on a table and you will need to step out of
your car to pick up your materials from the table in order to
      maintain a safe, 6ft distance.
      -

You can drop off any textbooks from previous years at the table or in
the library return bin when you pick up your materials.
      3.

If you cannot drive to the school, the City of Berkeley is now allowing
walk-ups - as long as we can keep the number of students small and
everyone practices social distancing. Minimum 6 feet social distancing at
all times and must wear face covering.
   -

If you are not able to come by car or by foot, please complete the Task
      Runner Form Link
      <https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeQ8jGnVhY25xTB-gk18k1vPbCR15I2HzuXQ7mDfmUk5NNwYQ/viewform>
so
that a BUSD volunteer will contact you about bringing materials. Please
note: A friend or family member over 18 can pick up for you.
