*Seniors Going to College in Fall 2020: First Step Award from the BHS
Development Group*
If you have an EFC of $0-$1,000 and you are going to a 4 year college (or
For Dream Act- community college), complete the form for the First Step
Award. You may receive a small monetary grant from the BHS Development
Group to help pay for deposits with Statement of Intent to Register (SIR),
housing, orientation, travel to school, or books..

Reminder:  If you received a UC or CSU application fee waiver, the SIR
deposit will also be waived- *no* deposit when you accept/enroll at your
final choice of college.

*First Step Award Application is due 5/6/20 by 3 PM- on-line application
for those with EFC of $0-$1,000.*

Checks will be written by BHSDG by the end of May to eligible students, so
please give us current mailing address.

*In summary, here is what you need for First Step Award by 5/6/20 by 3 PM:*
*1. Application in Google Form*
*2. Proof of college enrollment at 4 year college or community college for
Dream Act students. Find SIR in e-mail or portal and
copy/screenshot/upload.*
*3. Proof of Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) in the Student Aid Report
(SAR) of FAFSA  ($0-$1,000).*
