To our BHS Community,


*Today is World Suicide Awareness Day.*  As adults at Berkeley High, we
care about your academics but also your overall well-being.  If you or
someone you know is having thoughts of hurting themselves, please tell
someone, anyone.  Teenage suicide is the second leading cause of death for
ages 12-24.  Each day in our nation there is an average of over 3,000
attempts.


Students, you are the eyes and ears for yourself and your peers.  There are
resources on campus and people to talk to.  Reach out to your counselor,
safety officer or any adult on campus.  On the backside of your Berkeley
High School student ID there is a National Suicide Prevention Lifeline
number (800) 273-TALK (8255)/ TEXT home to 741741.


*Each life is precious and you're not alone. *



*All lockers* without a lock on them may be reassigned to a different
student after Friday the 13th.  If you need a locker, please come to C-210,
before or after school.



*Boys Water Polo* destroyed Washington 24-7 last night to move to 4-0!


*Girls and Boys Water Polo* play host to Novato HS today after school. JV
girls go first at 4, followed by Varsity girls, Varsity Boys, and JV Boys.
Come support your Jackets!
