On Wednesday, March 27, we at the BHS Gender and Sexuality Alliance are calling for all Berkeley High students to take a vow of silence from periods 1 through 6, in order to protest the silencing of LGBTQ+ students at Berkeley High school and throughout the country, and to raise awareness for the discrimination that LGBTQ+ students face.
In order to participate, get a sign on Wednesday morning at A gate, M gate, or the courtyard, and wear it throughout the day to show that you are taking the vow of silence.
That Wednesday, we also will be hosting the Breaking the Silence Panel in the Little Theater from periods 4 through 6, where LGBTQ+ students and staff will discuss their experiences and answer questions. Talk to your teachers about bringing your class to the panel!

Advanced Dance Lab performs THIS WEEKEND in the Little Theater: This is a showcase of student choreography, plus inspiring guest artists from the African Haitian classes, and BHS dance alums, Remone Ireland and Amanda Warhuus. Friday and Saturday nights at 7pm. Come out and support these fantastic performers. Student tickets are just $5!!!
