 The Xi Gamma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. will award
$500-$2,000 to outstanding African American seniors based on achievement
and financial need.

*Jewish Community Federation: Due 3/29/19*

The Federation's College Scholarships are funded by 11 different
scholarship funds, each with its own eligibility criteria and requirements
(see below).

Many (but not all) scholarships are for Jewish students from the Federation's
service area <https://jewishfed.org/contact-us> (Sonoma and Marin Counties,
San Francisco, and the Peninsula) to attend an undergraduate program, based
on a combination of need and merit. There are exceptions, so please see the
detailed eligibility requirements below.

Applicants may be eligible for more than one scholarship fund and may
receive more than one award.

Applicants will select the scholarship funds for which they are eligible
during the application process. Applicants need not submit more than one
application.

*AEG Oakland Community Foundation: Due 5/17/19*

AEG Community Foundation in a non-profit organization focused on improving
the lives of children and families in Alameda. It provides financial
assistance to economically disadvantaged students who plan to matriculate
into a 4 year college or university for 2019-2020.


Monetary awards (not to exceed $10,000) to and a paid summer internship at
Oracle Arena and Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum to 3 seniors.

*Toyota/Steve Young Scholar Athlete Application; Bay Area Sports Hall of
Fame: : Due 4/5/19*

A $2,500 scholarship established in his honor is awarded annually to one
male and one female college-bound high school senior whose academic and
athletic careers have been exemplary and whose personal standards and
accomplishments are a positive model for others. The scholarship
presentations take place at the Annual Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame
Enshrinement Banquet on Thursday, May 2, 2019.  See attachment for
application.

The NETwork Bay Area Chapter Black Integrated Communication Professional is
a non-profit organization with membership comprised of active and retired
employees within AT & T.  The scholarship is named in the honor of Lewis
Howard Latimer, an African American inventor and draftsman whose blueprints
were used for patents to Alexander Gram Bell for the telephone.


One time award up to $1,000 to African American seniors  with minimum GPA
of 2.5 and going to 2 or 4 year college.



*Oakland- Alameda County Coliseum Foundation Scholarships- George P.
Scotlan, Reynolds and Morgan Family Scholarships: Due 4/30/19*


6 awardees in Alameda County will be awarded $5,500 per year (up to
$22,000) Only one application is necessary for all of the scholarships.

* must be graduating senior from Alameda; community service for at least 2
yrs.; minimum  GPA 3.0; proof of admission to a 4 year college, FAFSA SAR;
native born US citizen
