Iota Chapter, Oakland*


*Eligibility:*

African American graduating high school students enrolled in 4 year college
for Fall 2019

Alameda County or Contra Costa resident

Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5

Active in Community Service

Meets criteria of all four Cardinal Principles of organization:
manhood/womanhood: sense of responsibility and human qualities;
scholarship: ability to show quality performance inside and outside of
classroom; perseverance; uplift: ability to elevate or raise those around
you


*Procedures: *

Complete and mail application *by 4/1/19*

Submit official school acceptance letter from university of college

Submit 2 letters of recommendation

Submit official high school transcript

Submit 500 word essay- see prompt in application

Participate in interview with Sigma Iota Scholarship Committee


Notified by June 1; Awards at ceremony on June 29, 2019.


Application in attachment, or pick up one in Scholarship Box in CCC next to
printer.
