Free Study Skills Workshop sponsored by Academic Choice Advisory Council: Time Management Strategies


All 9th and 10th grade BHS students and their parents/guardians are invited to attend.


Not totally satisfied with your first quarter grades? Is time management an issue? Join Lisa Miller of Classroom Matters for a family workshop addressing common challenges students face, and explore strategies to implement in the classroom and at home.


Parents/guardians and their students develop a shared language to address topics including:


v  Managing short-term assignments


v  Managing long-term assignments


v  Using planners and graphic organizers


v  Dealing with distractions


(If you attended the “Setting up for Success” workshop in October, there will be recurrent information along with new material)


Tuesday, November 13th


7 pm to 8:30 pm


BHS Library


Each student MUST be registered to attend and MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Workshop space is limited, so please RSVP to Lisa at classroommatters.com with parent/guardian name AND student name and grade.


Refreshments will be served.
