The Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) sponsored a mental health parent education event on May 16th. Speakers provided advice and resources and discussed ways to support the well-being of our teens and recognize when they exhibit sign of need.

Parents found the google slide presentation<https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1u769iBg9VaiHnKjav2A8hkR5N-msdgsIQZFUgew6vv8/edit?usp=sharing> very informative and suggested it be shared with all BHS parents. It includes the following:

  *   Overview of the Freshmen Ethnic Studies/Social Living seminars - presenter: Courtney Anderson, BHS Teacher
  *   Student Voices, Student Leaders - presenters: Ruby Spies, Ayyub Love, Kelly Perymon, Abby Steckel, Uliana Kovaleva
  *   BHS Counseling Resources & Tips for Parents - presenter: Jasdeep Malhi, BHS Intervention Counselor
  *   BHS Health Center Support of BHS Students' Mental Health - presenters: Efrain Michael & Zach Meredith, Behavioral Health Clinicians
