Upcoming Performing Arts Events
Watch the only high school production in the entire country of The Vagina Monologues here at Berkeley High. Explore the pleasures and pains of the global female experience through witnessing a series of monologues covering topics from sexual abuse to self-love and empowerment. All proceeds will go to organizations committed to ending violence against women. Performances are February 2, 3, 9, 10 at 7 pm in the Little Theater. Tickets are available at the door, or guarantee a seat by purchasing your tickets online at vagmon2018.brownpapertickets.com<http://vagmon2018.brownpapertickets.com/>.

Come see the Berkeley Rep Teen one act plays this Friday and Saturday, February 2 and 3, at 7:30 pm at Berkeley Rep Peet's Theater. There will only ever be two showings of this original teen-written, directed, acted and produced show. Get tickets at berkeleyrep.com<http://berkeleyrep.com/> or at the door.

Club Leaders Meeting
Attention Club Leaders and Staff Sponsors: There is a mandatory Club Leader meeting today after school in the West Gallery. If you attended the meeting yesterday, you do not have to attend today's meeting. Club Leaders must attend in order to host a table at the upcoming spring Club Fair. Check with Maybelle, your ASB Chief of Clubs, or Mr. V. for more details.

Keep Our Campus Clean
"Wow, the staircases in the C Building are looking trashed these days."
"Really?"
"Yeah, litter-really! (pronounced litter-ra-lee)

"Seriously, folks, let's show a little more pride in our school by not leaving trash around. If there isn't a trash can in sight when you finish that basket of fries or that bottle of water, hang onto it until you do see one. (And while you're at it, don't forget to recycle and compost whenever possible.)" Thanks!

Talent Show Auditions
Berkeley High, what's your talent? Audition for the 2018 Talent Show with your song, dance, comedy, band, rap, spoken word, juggling routine or other creative expression. Sign up outside the Leadership Office for an audition slot at lunch or after school between February 13-23.

Spring PE Waivers
The Counseling Office will continue distributing Spring 2018 PE Waiver forms until Thursday, February 1, 2018. The first portion of the waiver process is due back to the counseling office no later than Friday, February 2, 2018. No exceptions will be made for missed deadlines.

Other Important Information:

1. Students who choose the YMCA to receive 5 PE credits do not have to worry about deadlines or picking up a PE Waiver. The YMCA handles and monitors students' credits on their end. Upon completion of their mandated hours, the YMCA turns in a final list to the counseling office for credit. Registration opens today and the orientation will be held tomorrow. For more information about the YMCA program, please contact Jocelyn Leche directly at jleche at ymca-cba.org<mailto:jleche at ymca-cba.org>

2. If you are enrolled in a sports program where 10+ BHS students are also enrolled, the organization may complete a group waiver on behalf of all the students.

If you have any questions, please email pewaivers at berkeley.net<mailto:pewaivers at berkeley.net> or stop by the Counseling Office, which is near the Food Court.

Morning Sports Report
Congratulations to the following teams for their recent victories: boys varsity basketball, boys freshman basketball, boys varsity soccer, boys freshman soccer, girls freshman soccer, and girls JV basketball.

There are no athletic events today, but tomorrow the girls basketball teams host Bishop O'Dowd in the Donahue Gym and the girls soccer teams host Mt. Eden at Jacket Stadium. Admission is charged for all games, but students with ASB stickers get in for free.

World Hijab Day
Today is World Hijab Day, and the BHS Muslim Students Association welcomes you to join them in the courtyard at lunch to learn more about Islam, try on hijabs and answer trivia questions.
