CIEE, a long-standing, leading non-profit that supports study and work abroad opportunities for high school and college students, will be at Berkeley High from 6-7 pm next Thursday in the school library, preceding the start of Back to School Night at 7 pm.

CIEE has at least $25,000 in financial need-based or merit-based scholarship money to give to current 9th to 11th grade students at Berkeley High for their summer opportunities this year in three areas of focus<https://www.ciee.org/high-school-summer-abroad/programs/search/>:

  *   Language and Culture
  *   Service
  *   Global Discovery

Every year several Berkeley High students take life-changing trips with CIEE to Mexico, China, Germany, Morocco, Ghana, Portugal, Costa Rica and many other countries. Have your child be the next one! The information night will include a review of the many exciting opportunities for this year, hearing from past participants, and how to start an application.

Email CIEE International Studies Director Kelly Britt at kbritt at ciee.org<mailto:kbritt at ciee.org> for CIEE-related questions, chrisyoung at berkeley.net<mailto:chrisyoung at berkeley.net> with any logistical/impact at BHS-related questions.
