Good afternoon BHS families,



I’m writing briefly to let you know that the students’ planned
demonstration took place today during third period.  Students then went to
lunch, and were back in classes for the afternoon.



The human chain did indeed circle our entire campus, and students chanted
and were cheered on by motorists and passers-by.  Various news
organizations covered the event, and we estimate that at least ⅔ of our
student body participated.  Some students and teachers chose to stay behind
in classrooms, and administrators monitored both groups.  Everyone stayed
safe and positive, and I’m thankful for the support of so many that made
this demonstration what our student leaders knew it could be.
