Are you interested in sailing? Berkeley High has a sailing team that
sails out of the Richmond Yacht Club. The team travels up and down the
California coast, competing against over thirty other high schools in
the Pacific Coast Interscholastic Sailing Association (PCISA). Sailors
race in FJs, two person dinghies. The team practices a couple times a
week, and qualifies for a PE waiver.

No experience is necessary to join the team. The season runs from the
end of September to the beginning of May. Richmond Yacht Club provides
all boats and coaching. The BHS teachers-sponsor for this year is
retiring and a new sponsor will be announced in the fall.
