BHS Safety Committee Panel on Ensuring a Healthy, Non-Toxic Learning
Environment

*Bill Fisk* - Senior Scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory,
Indoor Environment Group <https://eta.lbl.gov/people/william-fisk>. Bill
will discuss how Indoor Environmental Quality in school classrooms affects
student performance; critical facility elements/best practices to consider
during maintenance and building modernization of BUSD’s schools.



*Jeff Vincent* - University of California, Berkeley, Center for Cities +

that school facilities maintained in good repair pursuant to Education Code
section 17002(d) are now mandated and in Priority 1 for  Local Control and
Accountability Plans (LCAP)

Planning Measure H activities including what’s to be modernized at BHS.



*Rolf Bell* - Green Living Builder

co-chair of the BHS Safety Committee. Rolf will discuss existing seismic
building safety issues that need attention at BHS and beyond.
