Hello BHS Families:
Every day the teachers and staff of Berkeley High School work hard to
educate and inspire students in a safe, respectful, and supportive
environment. We invite parents and guardians to contribute to a couple
of fun efforts to acknowledge our team during Teacher & Staff
Appreciation Week. We know that some of you have already participated in
other campaigns to recognize teachers, but the two efforts below will
reach all staff members.
1. On *Friday, May 12* - Let’s kick off the 3-day weekend with some
_treats_ for our hard-working staff! If you can bring cookies, brownies,
or any other treat (sweet or savory), please click here to sign up
<http://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090f4ba4af2da20-berkeley>. You can drop
off your treats on Friday from 7:45 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in the Main
Office. Treats that work best are those that can be served at room
temperature.
*If you get inspired on Friday morning and just arrive at the office
with an offering, that's ok, too!*
2. Berkeley High is full of parents and guardians with skills and
generosity, and so are the businesses in our community! With over 200
staff, we are hoping that you can offer some _fun or useful services or
small gestures of gratitude_. Can you offer a service that would be of
benefit to the staff? Offer acupuncture, a haircut, a manicure, a
massage? (or multiples thereof - we’d be happy to set something up at
school). Have some extra copies of a book you wrote that could be a
gift? Bake a pie or offer to bring the Sunday paper and some pastries to
a staffer at a later date? Donate a gift certificate to a restaurant or
a coffee card?
Get creative! All BHS teachers and staff will be eligible to receive
your contributions as part of a raffle drawing. If you would like to
donate a gift of gratitude, please click here to sign up
<http://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090f4ba4af2da20-gifts>. You can drop
off your gifts through *Wednesday, May 17*, in the Main Office.
