The BHS Safety Committee is recruiting parents, students, teachers and staff to join the Committee.
The next meeting of the BHS Safety Committee will be Tuesday Feb 7, 2017 from 4:30-6:00 pm in H104.

The Committee discusses and recommends positions and strategies on many issues related to school safety, including traffic/pedestrian/bicycle safety to and from school, reporting and handling crime at school, use of restorative justice and other programs for at-risk students, bullying, hate-crimes, sexual harassment, environmental hazard reduction on campus, and disaster preparedness. The Committee is responsible for drafting the state-required School Safety Plan.

The Safety Committee is a sub-committee of the School Site Council and usually meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month from 4:30 - 6 PM in the H Building Room H104, On Campus Intervention (OCI) office.

The Safety Committee will meet on the following 2017 dates:

     *   Feb. 7 (1st Tuesday)
     *   Feb. 28**** Safe Routes to School presentation at Feb 28th meeting****
     *   March 14
     *   March 28
     *   April 11
     *   April 25
     *   May 9
     *   May 23
     *   June 13
