THIS WEEK: Packet Clearing for Spring Sports Tryouts
Tuesday 1/31, Wednesday 2/1 and Thursday 2/2 lunch and 3:30-4:30
(there will be make up dates, see below, but you will have missed the beginning of tryouts)

Spring Sports 2017, Athletic Packets and Eligibility

SPRING SPORTS include:
Badminton (coed) Baseball (Boys) Crew (Girls and Boys)
Diving/Swimming (Girls and Boys Golf (Boys) Lacrosse (Girls and Boys)
Softball (Girls) Tennis (Boys) Track and Field (Girls and Boys)
Volleyball (Boys)

Tryouts for Spring Sports will begin on February 6th and go through that week. You must have a cleared packet to participate in any tryouts. Do not wait for the last day to clear your packet. Make sure every page is signed, initialed and that the doctor signed the form, dated it and stamped it with their official stamp to verify authenticity.
Athletic packets can be cleared in the AD office on January 31, February 1 and 2 (lunchtime and 3:30-4:30).

Make-up packet clearing will be held February 7 and 9 at lunchtime and 3:30-4:30, February 15, 21 and  March 1 at lunchtime only. If you wait for the make up times you will miss the beginning of tryouts.

Thinking about playing a Spring Sport? Get your athletic packet and make sure you have an up-to-date physical (medical clearance from you doctor within the year) or schedule an appointment with your physician now!

TRYOUTS Detailed tryout information will be posted outside of the AD office, on the etree, and on the Berkeley High Website (Athletics tab) as soon as available.

If you already cleared a packet, and/or played a Fall sport with the AD office this year, and only need to pick up a yellow card to take to tryouts - you come to the clearing dates and there will be an 'express line'.

Athletic Packets are available to pick up outside of the Athletic Director's office, at the BHS Front Desk or download at http://bhs.berkeleyschools.net/athletics/

- Please remember that eligibility is based on your Semester 1 grades so work hard to make sure those grades are at a 2.0 minimum GPA. If you need any assistance, please ask your teachers about tutoring or check in with your counselors.
