Attention Seniors: If you have not already done so, please schedule an appointment with your College Advisors to check in about your post-high school graduation plans. Attention Seniors: If you are applying to colleges that require letters of recommendation (either on the Common Application or the school's website), you must notify and nominate your teachers and counselor ASAP. If you do not notify your Recommenders the week before Winter Break, you risk not having your recommendations completed.

Attention Seniors: BHS's Registar, Ms. Mellion, will send everyone's GPA verification to the California Student Aid Commission for consideration for Cal Grants. You do not have to submit anything yourself.

Applying to CSUs: You can list CSUMentor as an SAT score recipient. The SAT institution code for CSUMentor is 3594. CSUMentor will then store your scores for ALL CSU campuses to utilize. Applying to CSUs: Before you can use the ACT Scores Manager, you must first have arranged for your scores to be sent to a CSU campus. Choose: Any (1) CSU Campus
Then use ACT Scores Manager:  Release Eligible ACT Scores to other schools through CSU Mentor after your score is received.

>From the University of OK: The extended deadline of December 31 will allow students ample time during their holiday break to submit their OU application. The only item the student must submit by December 31 to be considered for these scholarships is the application. Supporting application materials do not need to be submitted by December 31 for a student to be considered for these scholarships. Students may request their transcripts from you once they return to school in January. They may also submit their ACT or SAT scores, letters of recommendation, and the application fee following the holiday break. Please note that a student's application will not be reviewed for an admissions decision until all materials have been received. The APCA, a non-profit Employee Resource Group of AT&T, is seeking qualified applicants for its 2017 Scholarship Program. The scholarship program is open to all graduating high school seniors of any ethnic or cultural background with a minimum un-weighted GPA of 3.4 on a 4.0 scale. South Carolina Federal Credit Union will be awarding a total of $7,500 in scholarship money to three deserving students. 1st Place: $4,000. 2nd Place: $2,500. 3rd Place: $1,000. Award is $2500 for one female student athlete and one male student athlete, whose academic and athletic careers have been exemplary and whose personal standards and accomplishments are a positive role model for others. Tzu Chi Foundation Scholarship - March 3, 2017
Tzu Chi Scholars is a scholarship program funded by Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation (www.tzuchi.org<http://www.tzuchi.org/>) to recognize and provide financial assistance to outstanding college-bound high school graduates. Tzu Chi Scholars are selected on the basis of their financial need, academic achievement and community involvement. Each Scholar will receive a one-time award of $1,000. A small number of Scholars may be further recognized for a four-year total scholarship award of up to $4,000. To apply, you must: 1. Be a U.S. high school graduating senior (foreign students on student visa not included), 2. Demonstrate financial need for college tuition, 3. Have a minimum 3.0 GPA, 4.
