Morning Sports Report
Last weekend the Jacket soccer teams were in action. The boys freshman soccer team lost in an away match at Dublin, and the girls freshman soccer team won twice in one day, defeating Northgate and Las Lomas.

Today three Jacket Basketball teams travel to El Cerrito High School to take on the Gauchos. The boys Freshman game tips off at 4:00, the girls Varsity game begins at 5:30, and the boys Varsity game starts at 7:00.

Over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, the boys Varsity Basketball team joins 9 other top hoops teams from across the state in the 10th Annual NorCal Tip Off Classic, which takes place at Newark Memorial High School. Berkeley High plays Sacramento's Christian Brothers High School Saturday afternoon at 2:15 p.m.

All sports schedules are located on the Berkeley High School website in the Athletics tab. Although there is no school Wednesday 11/23-Friday 11/25, several BHS teams are practicing or competing. The final opportunity to clear athletic packets is today, Tuesday, November 22, during lunchtime only. Most rosters for Winter are closed, you can clear for Spring Sports! Immigration Rights Forum
The BUSD Office of Family Engagement and Equity, in collaboration with the East Bay Sanctuary Convenant and the East Bay Community Law Center, is hosting a forum on immigration rights for our immigrant community. The forum will be held at Longfellow Middle School on Tuesday, November 22, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Refreshments and childcare will be provided.

There will be a presentation by immigration attorney Mark Silverman focusing on the constitutional rights of immigrants in the US. Afterward, participants at the forum will have the opportunity to meet with an immigration attorney or trained volunteer for a 15 minute consultation aimed at helping identify potential immigration remedies.

Services will be available in Spanish, Mam, French, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, Pangasinan, and Portuguese.

SENIORS: College and Career Center Announcements
Join College Advisors in the Library Computer Lab today after school to work on your essays and college applications for the Common App, CSUs, and UCs. The lab will be open from 3:00 until 5:00. Don't forget: the deadline to submit applications for UCs and CSUs is November 30.

ASB Speaker Series
The ASB Speaker Series continues today as BHS Stop Harassing hosts an event entitled, "Eliminating a Culture of Sexual Harassment." Through guest speakers and a panel discussion, BHS Stop Harassing hopes to empower students with information and support related to sexual harassment and sexual assault. The presentation will take place during 4th and 5th periods.

For teachers who have signed up to bring their classes to the presentation: Please bring your classes to the Little Theater no later than 10 minutes after the start of the period.

NO SCHOOL November 23-25
All Berkeley Unified School District campuses and offices will be closed from Wednesday, November 23, through Friday, November 25, for the Thanksgiving holiday. Classes will resume on Monday, November 28.
