*Winter and Spring Sports 2016-17, Athletic Packets and Eligibility*



*WINTER SPORTS include:*

*Boys Basketball *

*Girls Basketball*

*Boys Soccer *

*Girls Soccer*

*Wrestling, Boys and Girls*



*Tryouts for Winter Sports** will begin *on November 7 and go through that
week. You must have a cleared packet to participate in any tryouts.



*Athletic packets** can be cleared *in the AD office on November 2 and 3,
2016, at lunch time and 3:30-4:30). The Athletic Director’s office is J207
(behind the stadium bleachers).



*Make-up packet** clearing will be held *November 8 and 9 at lunch time and
3:30-4:00 and November 16 and 22 at lunch time only.  If you wait for the
make-up times you will miss the beginning of tryouts.




*TRYOUTS  *


Detailed tryout information will be posted outside of the AD office, on the
etree, and on the Berkeley High Website (Athletics tab) as soon as
available.


If you *already cleared* a packet, and/or played a *Fall sport* with the AD
office this year, and only need to pick up a yellow card to take to tryouts,
you come to the clearing dates and there will be an ‘express line’.


Thinking about playing a *Spring Sport*?  You can go ahead and clear your
packet during the above dates and be READY for the Spring tryouts.  There
will be clearing dates again Jan. 31 and Feb. 2 before the tryouts, and
later make-up times.


Athletic Packets are available to pick up outside of the Athletic
Director’s office, at the BHS Front Desk or download at
http://bhs.berkeleyschools.net/athletics/

*- **Please remember that eligibility is based on your Quarter 1 grades so
work hard **to make sure those grades are at a 2.0 minimum GPA.  If you
need any assistance, please ask your teachers about tutoring or check in
with your counselors.*
