Dear Parents, Guardians and Student Athletes,

We want to inform you of a new attendance policy starting the week of 
October 17th, 2016.  From now on, weekly attendance reports will be sent 
from the attendance office to the Athletic Director every Monday. She 
will share that information with coaches. *Any student who has 15 or 
more UNV period absences will not be able to play in games or 
scrimmages*. Students can still practice with their team. Once their 
absences are cleared, they can play again as soon as they are notified 
by their coach.

Students have an opportunity to clear UNV absences from the previous 
month in *Saturday School* happening on the following dates:

October 1, 2016

	

February 4, 2017

November 5, 2016

	

March 4, 2017

November 19, 2016

	

March 18, 2017

Students can also clear UNV absences in the *College and Career Center 
After School Tutoring* with Mr. Laurel, Monday–Thursday from 
3:30-6:00pm. /One hour can clear 2 UNV absences./

Once a student clears their absence in PowerSchool, the UNV code will 
change to SAT for Saturday School or MAK for After School Tutoring.

These are UNV absences that families did not excuse themselves that we 
are speaking of. Families have up to 5 days after a student's absence to 
clear an absence. Parents and guardians can call, email, send a note or 
come in person to clear absences to the Attendance Office.
