Good Morning Berkeley High School,

This is Mr. Pasarow with your daily announcements.

This morning's positive shout-outs is a single, lengthy but important 
shout out from the Technology Teachers on Special Assignment, "Gary, 
Antonio and Jonathan have been working nonstop to ensure our campus 
technology problems are addressed and made known to faculty and 
students. They are often the unsung heroes of classrooms and have been 
essential in providing more students and staff with access to 
chromebooks, our network and the new Macs in several classrooms. They 
serve every member of our campus community and ensure that we can focus 
on our work in the classroom."

Thank you technology TSA's -- managing technology at BHS is no small 
task and we are thankful to Antonio, Gary and Jonathan.

*Attendance Reminders
*Second period teachers: Thank you for continuing to take attendance 
during the first ten minutes of the period. Your efforts help the 
Attendance Team send accurate enrollment information to the District's 
admissions office.

And for students: Your teachers will not give you a hall pass during the 
first 10 minutes or the last 10 minutes of class. Thank you for keeping 
the halls clear at these times.

*Morning Sports Report*

Tonight the JV and Varsity football teams travel this evening to Oakland 
to take on Castlemont High School. The JV game begins at 5:30 and the 
varsity game starts at 7:00.

Next week the Jacket sports schedule is filled with action; the 
following teams will compete: cross country, football, girls field 
hockey, girls golf, girls tennis, girls volleyball, and boys and girls 
water polo.

*Athletes:* *The final packet clearing dat**e* to participate in Fall 
Sports will be Wednesday, September 14 at LUNCHTIME ONLY. Students who 
miss this deadline will not be able to participate in Fall Sports.

*SENIORS: College Profiles Are Due*
If you plan to apply to colleges that require counselor recommendations, 
please make sure you complete the Senior Profile that was sent to your 
student Email account on September 7. The deadline to complete the 
Senior Profile is Monday, September 12.

*Interested in the Yearbook?*
Are you a designer, photographer, or writer? Are you a hard worker? Then 
you should join the Yearbook staff! Come to room C-327 after school to 
learn more!

*Student Club Fair!*
Club fair on Thursday, September 15 on the Campus Green! Teachers: bring 
your class between 9am-11:30am to learn about and sign up for some rad 
clubs...Club leaders: if you want your club to participate in the fair, 
email sarahbjerkholt at students.berkeley.net

slip in the Leadership Office!

*Summer and Fall PE Waivers*


Returning students: If you picked up a summer PE waiver last school 
year, please make sure to return the yellow copy of your waiver to the 
attendance office by no later than Friday September 16th.


Fall waivers are not available for pick up yet. The attendance office 
will begin distributing Fall 2016 PE Waivers beginning Monday September 
19th.

If you have questions about PE Waivers, please stop by the attendance 
office (D134) before school, during lunch, or after school. Thank you!
