Berkeley High Coup Ultimate Frisbee is a BHS-sponsored co-ed club, established in 2006. Over the weekend of May 7th and 8th, three Coup teams represented our school with spirit, skill and determination at the USA Ultimate California State High School Championships held in Santa Cruz. The Coup Red team went undefeated and won the Division I Championship 11-10 in a hard-fought contest against respected rival Alameda. Coup Red were also State Champions in 2014 and 2013.

Coup Yellow and this year's new Freshman team Lo Coup had strong showings in Division II. Coup Yellow has grown by leaps and bounds this year and shown they are ready to hold up the mantle of the Coup program. Lo Coup demonstrated great enthusiasm and team chemistry all season. At States their rapidly-growing skill led to many close games against other schools' multi-grade rosters.

Coup Red now goes on to play at the USAU Western Region High School Championships on June 4th and 5th in Corvallis, Oregon. There the Coup will represent BHS against high school teams from throughout the Western US and hope to take 1st place after their 3rd place finish in 2015 and 2nd place finishes in 2014 and 2013.
