Celebrations for Black History Month
In celebration of Black History Month, we invite you to view an exhibit on the gallery of the 2nd floor of the C Building that commemorates the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Black Panther Party, which has its roots right here in the Bay Area. Thank you, Mr. Norberg, for organizing the exhibit, which gives all of us an opportunity to honor this important moment in African American history.
Listen tomorrow for the answer to last week's Black History Trivia Question: In 1972, Shirley Chisholm became the first African American to make a formal bid for the US presidency. Who was the second?
Finally, the Black Student Union and African-American Studies Department wants to remind you that DJ CJ Flash of the Rick and Russ Radio Show will return one last time to spinning another round of positive tunes tomorrow on the Senior Steps in celebration of Black History Month.
