BALSA (Berkeley Advanced Learner Support and Advocacy) presents:

Home for the Holidays

The December holidays are a busy, exciting, and stressful time of the year, and the traits many advanced learners share-perfectionism, sensitivity, and overexcitability-often magnify the challenges of the season. But the holidays are also a time of renewed connection and celebration; a time to reflect on what really matters. To come "home."

This month, we at BALSA are taking a break from our monthly speaker series to devote time to deepening our community connections. On December 14, we will gather at our "home" to meet and greet each other, engage in conversations about issues of interest, and explore the ways in which we can support and learn from each other.

New APEX (University of California at Berkeley Academic Partnership for Excellence) parents/guardians especially invited to attend!

Whether you have a specific problem to brainstorm, a recent success story or idea to share, or are simply interested in connecting with other parents of outlier kids, please join us.

Monday, December 14, 2015, 7-9 p.m.
BUSD Administration Building
2020 Bonar, Room 126 (enter on Addison)

Spanish translation available!
