Welcome to the 2015-2016 School Year!


Attached is our annual update of the Parent Student Handbook
<http://www.berkeleyschools.net/handbook/>. It is filled with information
about Berkeley Unified School District programs and policies as well as
contact information for school and district offices.

The 2015-2016 Parent Student Handbook
<http://www.berkeleyschools.net/handbook/>, which includes the Alameda
County Office of Education’s 2015-2016 Notice to Parents, provides students
and their guardians with specific Education and Government codes, as
required by law, as well as information about District programs and
policies.  Please use this handbook as a reference throughout the school
year.

The handbook is attached to this message. You can also find it at the
district website at http://www.berkeleyschools.net/handbook. You can
download the handbook (as a PDF file), or go to the table of contents to
find the specific program, procedure, or form you need.

Printed copies will be available at your school within the next 10 days.
The handbook is also being translated into​ Spanish and the 2015-16 updates
will be available in Spanish within the next 10 days.​

The Berkeley Unified School District teachers and staff look forward to
