BUSD Board Meeting 

May 6, 2015:

Closed Session Report, Agenda Approval and Meeting Overview

Board President Judy Appel reported on Closed Session and gave a meeting
overview.

The Board approved the agenda, Removing Consent Item #3 Approval of School
Safety Plan for Berkeley High School to come back when the Board has been
able to review the document. The Board pulled Consent Items #4,

Recommendation for Allocation of BSEP Class Size Reduction Funds in FY
2015-16 and #5 Recommendation for Expenditures in 2015-16 from the Library
Portion of the Berkeley Public Schools Educational Excellence Act of 2006
(BSEP) for discussion.

All items on the Consent Calendar including the two items pulled were
approved.

The Board opened the Public Hearing for the initial Local 21 proposal for a
reopener agreement. Hearing no public comments the Board accepted Local 21's
initial proposal.

5. Public Hearing for Initial Proposals for a Reopener Agreement between the
District and UBA

The Board opened the Public Hearing for the initial  Union of Berkeley
Administrators (UBA) proposal for a reopener agreement. Hearing no public
comments the Board accepted UBA initial proposal.

6. Presentation of Facilities Master Planning and Community Outreach
Process; Consideration to Move Forward with RFP Process
