This Friday, May 15th is the SPRING AFRICAN AMERICAN DANCE CONCERT at 7:00
pm

in Berkeley Community Theater.

"FREEDOM TO BE OR DO." is presented by

BHS' African American Studies Department.

 

Support the arts and Berkeley High students as over 200 dancers breathe life
into both ancient and modern dance. Traditional AFRICAN, HAITIAN, AZTEC,
MEXICAN, ETHIOPIAN, CHINESE and NEPALI DANCES; and contemporary fare of
MODERN, HIP HOP, PRAISE DANCES and SPOKEN WORD are choreographed by teachers
and students.

 

This dance extravaganza is a family event. Bring children - invite other
BUSD students and families.

 

TICKETS: General $8; Reserved $12;

Students-Children-BUSD Staff-Seniors $5.

BHS Teachers FREE with BHS ID.

 

Box Office opens by 5:30 pm. Gate & doors open 6:30 pm.

The BCT theater is on our BHS campus at 1980 Alston Way, Berkeley, CA 94704.
Wheelchair accessible.

 

Experience dance students' insights into who they are, and the journeys and
challenges embarked on and confronted this year. The evening is sure to
delight, surprise, and engage the audience.
