Berkeley High Athletic Annual Golf Classic

Friday was the 8th Annual BHS Golf Classic, held at the Tilden Park Golf
Course. The tournament was well attended, and initial reports indicate that
they reached their goal of $19,000. The proceeds provide crucial funding for
the freshmen athletic program. Interim Principal Kristin Glenchur, Assistant
Superintendent Pasquale Scuderi and retired Superintendent Michele Lawrence
made a formidable team, but it was difficult to find any of the teams
actually keeping score. Everyone came out a winner, including the freshmen
athletes!

BHS Athletic Hall of Fame 2015

Thirteen BHS alumni athletes and coaches were honored at the BHS Athletic
Hall of Fame on Saturday. Master of Ceremonies John Sasaki, BHS alum and TV
newscaster, is a former Hall of Fame recipient himself, as the founder of
the BHS lacrosse team.
