*Traffic Counts around Berkeley High*– *Volunteers needed! *4 mornings
in February (2/10, 2/11, 2/18, 2/26) – 7:45-8:45 am

The *Transportation Working Group* of the *Berkeley Climate Action
Coalition*

is working on strategies for _encouraging safe_, _sustainable_, _shared
and active transit to Berkeley High School_.

Help perform traffic counts to document existing conditions/current
modes of transit. People interested in traffic calming around Berkeley
High and the downtown Berkeley area, and/or in

transportation issues in general are especially encouraged to volunteer!
We will supply instructions and paper checklist for volunteers to record
counts of car drop offs and bicycle traffic around the perimeter of BHS.
Coffee and pastries will be available.

*The time**is 7:45 – 8:45 am* and dates selected for counts are:

  * Tuesday - *February 10*
  * Wednesday - *February 11*
  * Wednesday - *February 18*
  * Thursday - *February 26*

(and a make-up date of *Mar 3* if one of the other dates needs to be
cancelled)

Volunteers who can commit to all of those dates are preferred, but if
you can commit to at least 2 dates, please follow up! *RSVP* to
volunteer by contacting *Marjorie Alvord* at malvord at mindspring.com
<mailto:malvord at mindspring.com>.
