Berkeley High School's second semester Open House will be on Thursday,
February 5th at 7:00 pm.  Parents and guardians will be following their
child's schedule as they meet teachers for ten-minute information sessions. 

 

We look forward to welcoming you on our campus!

 

You will want to be sitting in your child’s first-period class by 7 pm
because the presentations will start punctually.  After a ten-minute
presentation the bell will ring and parents will have six minutes to travel
to the next period.   

 

Please bring your child’s class schedule with you so you know which classes
to visit.  You can ask your son/daughter to write the schedule for you the
old fashioned way, with pen and paper.  Or you can go online and print it
out from PowerSchool.  To log into PowerSchool portal, go to
http://ps.berkeley.net/public/   and enter 


USERNAME: firstnamelastname (of student, not the parent)

PASSWORD:  Berkeleystudentid#

For example, if your daughter’s name is Mary Smith and her ID number is
2423555, enter the following:

USERNAME: marysmith 

PASSWORD:  Berkeley2423555

 

If you do not have your child’s schedule when you arrive, stop by the Food
Court and we can print one for you.  Even if you do not need a schedule,
drop by the Food Court before or after visits to classes because there you
will find PowerSchool help, get assistance with lunch applications, meet
representatives from the Health Center, Athletics and clubs, the parent
resource center, and more. 

 

Our campus is close to BART and several city bus lines.  If you are planning
on driving, give yourself plenty of time to find parking, which can be a
challenge on Open House Nights.  We look forward to seeing you on the 5th!

La noche para padres de familia (Open House) en Berkeley High School será el
jueves 5 de febrero a las 7:00 pm.   Ustedes seguirán el horario de clases
de su hija/o para participar en sesiones informativas de diez minutos con
sus maestros.  ¡Nos dará mucho gusto darles la bienvenida en nuestro campus!

 

Habrá seis minutos para llegar a cada clase.  Los padres deben de estar en
el salon del primer periodo de su hijo/a a las 7 pm porque las
presentaciones empezarán puntualmente.   Después de diez minutos sonarán las
campanas y tendrán seis minutos para llegar a la próxima clase de acuerdo
con el horario de su hija/o. 

 

Asegúrese que su hija/o le escriba una lista de sus clases, con el nombre de
su maestra/o y la ubicación que incluye el nombre del edificio y el numero
del salón.  O, si prefiere, puede buscar esa información electronicamente en
PowerSchool.  Para llegar al portál de PowerSchool, vaya a
http://ps.berkeley.net/public/   y ponga  


USERNAME: nombreapellido (del estudiante, no del padre)

PASSWORD:  Berkeley#identidad escolar

Por ejemplo, si su hija se llama Maria Valle y su número de identidad
escolar es 2423555, escriba lo siguiente:

USERNAME: mariavalle 

PASSWORD:  Berkeley2423555

 

Cuando llegue para la noche de padres, si no tiene el horario de su hija/o,
puede pasar por la cafetería y se lo podemos imprimir.  Incluso si no
necesita un horario, se recomienda que los padres pasen por la cafetería, ya
sea antes o después de las visitas a las clases.  En la cafetería, pueden
hablar con representantes del centro de salud, centro de recursos para
padres, departamento de atletismo y los clubes estudiantiles. Los padres
también pueden obtener ayuda con PowerSchool y como llenar formularios para
la comida.

 

Nuestra escuela se encuentra cerca del BART y también de varias lineas de
bus.  Si va a venir en carro, asegúrese de tener suficiente tiempo para
estacionarse.  ¡Será un gusto verlos a todos/as el 5!
