Dear AHA,

Please read below for upcoming AHA events, including the End of the Summer
Potluck on Wednesday, August 20th and Buddy Family Program.

 

POTLUCK on WEDNESDAY AUGUST 20th 

Who: Entire AHA community (students, parents, friends)

 

What: End of the Summer Potluck and Social (please sign up at
http://wejoinin.com/sheets/ajhio)

 

When: Wednesday, August 20th from 5:30-7:00 pm

 

Where: Berkeley High School, M courtyard (the M building is on the corner of
Milvia and Bancroft)

 

Why: To build community, welcome our new families, and get the new school
year off to an energetic and positive start!

AHA FAMILY BUDDY PROGRAM

Hello AHA Parents!

 

In an effort to strengthen our AHA community, we are starting a buddy family
program: current AHA parents get the name and number of an incoming AHA
family and call that family at the beginning of the year to say, “Welcome.”
It’s pretty low key, and for those who have limited time but would like to
do something to support AHA, this is the perfect gig. 

 

If you are interested in being one of our welcoming families, please contact
Laura Marlin at marlincal at earthlink.net.   Thank you!  Spanish speakers are
especially needed. 

 

 

Hola Padres de AHA!

En un esfuerzo para fortalecer a la comunidad de AHA, estamos empezando un
programa de amigo de la familia: Las familias de AHA recibirán el nombre y
telefono de una familia nueva. Para que le den una llamada de bienvenida al
la familia de AHA. La llamada se debe de hacer al inicio del año escolar.

Esto es algo sencillo, y aquellas personas que tienen su tiempo limitado
pero que les gustaría hacer algo para apoyar a AHA, esta es la oportunidad
perfecta.

Si tú estas interesado en ser una de nuestras familias de bienvenida, por
