/Dear Parents of Sophomores. The following information was shared via 
email with all 10th graders today. Please help us get the word out and 
discuss the following information with your children. Thank you!/

*Tuesday, April 22nd, 8:30 a.m.*: *CST / STAR*. You will be happy to 
know that this year you only have to take one test: _science_.  That's 
right -- no history or English this year! You'll be done with STAR after 
just one morning. All sophomores have to take the science test, even if 
you are not in a science class this year.

*Wednesday, April 23rd, 8:00 a.m:**practice ACT*. We are very lucky to 
offer a free practice session of ACT to all sophomores this year. This 
is a great chance for you to get practice taking a college-entrance 
exam. You'll also get free scores a few weeks after the test.*Please 
note that you have to come to school 30 minutes early that day because 
the test will start at 8:00 am.* If you have a calculator, please bring 
it to the test on Wednesday.

The tests on both days will be in the gyms.

* If your last name starts with the letters *A - L*, go to the *Jacket 
gym.*
* If your last name starts with the letters *M - Z*, go to the *Donahue 
gym*.

On both days, please report straight to the gyms.  After you are 
finished with the test you will go on to whichever class is taking place 
that period.

You do not need to study or prepare anything for either test. Good luck
