Greetings Friends-

 

Berkeley High School Alumni and All Alumni Network will host a
Fundraiser/Bazaar/Fashion show at the Oakland Asian Cultural Center
(http://oacc.cc/) on 10/12/13; we are volunteering our time and in-kind
services to produce this event. 

 

The purpose of the event is to offset operating costs from previous and
future Alumni events and launch a new Service Learning Scholarship for
Environmental Stewardship and Natural Resource Management (in response to
the Tuolumne Camp and Rim Fires), which will be endowed with the Berkeley
Community Fund to start. A portion of the proceeds will be given to each
organization that contributes to the event in the form of free media
exposure, professional connections or a small monetary donation. 

 

For this event, we are only hosting the current commitments at this time: 

.           An Alumni Charity Function.

.           Focused on professional development

.           Networking with Alumni

.           Raising funds to cover operating costs for hosting past and
future events 

.           Also to launch Service Learning Scholarships.

These will be annual events.

 

What we need help with is the following: 

1)  Those who donate their time lighting and stage craft for our staging
area - models and performers.

2)  Food service for our partially catered, partially potluck food
presentation and preparation.

3)  Performing artists who can provide live music for the venue - BHS Jazz
Band, Concert Choral or Choir.

4)  Those who can donate their time to perform host/hostess and ushering
duties on the day. 

5)  Creative artists who can help decorate the Hall and help set up booths,
props, projectors, screens.

6)  Community members who can help spread the word about the event.

 

We are hoping to be able to sell 200 tickets at $25.00 each by October 1,
2013.
