Approval of Agenda:

The Board approved the agenda and then turned over the meeting to the
Berkeley/Albany League of Women Voters, who facilitated the Public Comment
and Candidate Statement portion of the meeting.

Discussion of Candidates' Applications for 

Board of Education Vacancy, and Approve One 

Candidate as New Board Member

The Board heard from nine candidates for the vacancy on the Board. Following
deliberation, the Board unanimously approved Julie Sinai to fill the 18
month vacancy.

All Board meetings are broadcast live on 

Berkeley Community Media Cable Channel 33

and re-broadcast the following Thursday morning at 

9:00 AM and the following Sunday at 2:00 PM.

Note: The Board is currently holding three meetings a month instead of two,
with one meeting focusing on Information Items as a Board Study Session.
